Challenge Livestock Partnership brings together Brownrigg Agriculture and Challenge Livestock Ltd, owned and operated by DougThomas and Des van der Wal, and supplies livestock to specification to world markets. The partnership represents a wealth of experience in New Zealand farming and international livestock marketing. Challenge Livestock Partnership is involved in breeding, procurement, farming, pre-export conditioning and shipping coordination.
Working closely with the Government, MAF Biosecurity NZ department and other accredited agencies, Challenge Livestock Partnership has the resources, capability and professionalism to carry out livestock export operations to the exacting standards required.
We own accredited quarantine facilities and are experienced and diligent in adopting best practice animal welfare standards.
While our speciality is the export of high quality NZ dairy stock, we also supply other classes of sheep and cattle, as required, to international customers.
We are currently coordinating the breeding of the hardy Awassi fat-tail sheep and relevant breeding and grazing contracts are available by contacting the Livestock Office.
In 2007, Challenge Livestock Partnership was the largest NZ exporter of cattle for the period with consignments totalling 9,000 in-calf dairy heifers to Mexico. Based in Monterrey, our representative and importing agent is Sr Victor Ortiz, whose company SEANSA has the expertise and knowledge to manage the complex Mexican requirements for importing cattle from New Zealand.
For further information concerning this business, and our current requirements for Friesian heifers, please email our Livestock Office or Challenge Livestock Partnership's General Manager, Craig Thomas. Or telephone the Challenge Livestock managers to discuss our current advertised option (see sidebar on left for more details).
