Maize Silage : Bales or Bulk
Good value pasture supplement
Maize Silage is a value-for-money product that will serve the farming industry for many years to come. It is versatile; use it during all feed deficits, and also throughout spring and autumn to make better use of high protein pastures. Our maize silage is inoculated with Pioneer Brand inoculants and can be ensiled in either Bale or Bulk form.
Bales
The smaller pack size of bales reduces the wastage associated with silage stacks and, being individually plastic wrapped, provides portability and flexibility for the farmer.
Feedout rates are no longer an issue as you only open what is required for each day's feeding - a great option for both large farms and small scale users.
Each bale contains approximately 310kg of dry matter.
Environmental
Environmentally conscious farmers may wish to consider recycling their plastic wrap. We have a close association with AgRecovery and recommend that farmers become part of their Rural Recycling Programme, so that used plastic wrap can be handled responsibly with reduced mess and hassle.
Bulk
For larger farms with high daily requirements, we can deliver bulk maize silage on a regular basis. Deliveries are customised to match feedout rates so that farmers can load the bulk maize directly into their feedout wagons. This product has been ensiled in large plastic "AgBags" to eliminate the wastage and spoilage associated with conventional stacks.
